Do you Harmonize with Gaia?
Greetings, dear Soul! Saturday the 18th is K’ een 177, Harmonizing Gaia, inviting us to restore harmony within the Sacred Garden through conscious Ritual, Collective Wisdom and intelligent participation in the Web of Life.
Tone 8 is the Weaver of Time who gathers the scattered threads and creates Compatibility between them. It asks us to negotiate without abandoning Justice, to find Fairness without disturbing Tranquility, and to recognize that true Wholeness does not demand uniformity. Like the infinite spiral of the Milky Way Galaxy, Harmonizing energy regenerates life by bringing each unique part into Resonance with the greater pattern. Here’s all the Codes:
In my written document for each client (and book on Amazon) I clearly explain that Tone 8 has a “freedom fighter” and a “by any means necessary” edge to it, which, as you’ll see by our Exemplars, has been utilized in their lives. The Maya (some of them) also believe that the umbilical cord has eight threads, or eight strands, that connect mother to infant, weaving a body into existence.
Gaia is the living Intelligence of Earth evolving through every root, crystal, cave, creature and human imagination. The following words are spread out a bit on the image above, but contemplate these; Imagination, Intellect, Introspection, Intelligence, Collective Wisdom. This Nagual is called “Thought” in some regions of Guatemala (but certainly not all) and elsewhere this Glyph is called Earth, and others Earthquake, and some, Movement. I put all of that into one place, my mind, and the best word came out as Gaia for a global audience rekindling their interest in, or just finding out about, the Divine Mayan Tzolk’ een.
Goddess Gaia is both Sacred Garden and planetary Council: an immeasurable library of Collective Wisdom in which every being teaches and is taught. When we enter Introspection and listen for her Counsel, Synchronicity reminds us that we are not isolated individuals standing upon the Earth—we are conscious strands within her Web of Life.
In the Shadow Ego, Harmonizing Gaia can lose all Resonance with the Web of Life. The search for Justice may become punitive or even criminal, while sharp Intellect is used for Slander rather than wise Counsel. Buried pressure can erupt Volcanically, bringing needless Disruptiveness to relationships, communities and the Sacred Garden itself; at the opposite extreme, we may fall into Acquiescence, remaining silent while ruthless behaviour continues around us. Gaia’s Shadow warns that Intelligence without humility becomes Ignorant, and that the person who believes they already possess the whole truth may stop listening to the Collective Wisdom that could restore fairness, regeneration and tranquility.
Shine a Light on the Shadow Ego:
Where have I committed a Crime against my own conscience, another being or the Sacred Garden entrusted to my care?
When have I participated in Slander by repeating a damaging story without understanding the entire human being behind it?
Where has my behaviour created unnecessary Disruptiveness when calm negotiation could have restored compatibility?
Where have I fallen into Acquiescence, remaining silent or compliant because confronting injustice would disturb my comfort?
What buried frustration is becoming Volcanic within me, and how can I release its pressure without scorching the people around me?
Where have I become Ruthless in pursuing a goal, treating relationships, animals or the living Earth as obstacles rather than members of the Web of Life?
What am I still Ignorant about because I have listened only to familiar voices rather than entering a wider Council of Collective Wisdom?
Now let’s take a look at our Exemplars:
Richard Gere as Harmonizing Gaia has woven his spiritual practice into decades of humanitarian stewardship. A student of Tibetan Buddhism and longtime supporter of the Dalai Lama, he co-founded Tibet House US, established the Gere Foundation and has served prominently with the International Campaign for Tibet. He has used the abundance and visibility of his acting career to defend displaced communities, HIV/AIDS initiatives and human rights, accepting professional consequences for challenging China’s treatment of Tibet. His work reflects Harmonizing Gaia through spiritual Ritual, global Counsel and a willingness to claim Justice for people whose voices have been politically suppressed.
His Shadow Ego became publicly visible at a 2007 AIDS-awareness event in New Delhi, where he unexpectedly embraced and repeatedly kissed actor Shilpa Shetty onstage. Although intended as playful theatre, the act generated anger, legal complaints and an arrest warrant under India’s obscenity laws. Gere apologized for causing offence, yet the incident illustrates how ignorance of cultural boundaries can become Disruptiveness: one person’s spontaneous gesture may feel invasive or Volcanic when performed upon another person’s body before a public audience.
Barbara Walters embodied Harmonizing Gaia by entering a broadcasting world largely governed by men and steadily reshaped its rules. In 1976, she became the first woman to co-anchor an American network evening-news program, enduring open hostility while proving that Intellect, preparation and emotional Intelligence could open doors previously guarded by an old male hierarchy.
Through Today, 20/20, her landmark interviews and the creation of The View, she became a master Negotiator who gathered politicians, celebrities and opposing perspectives into a televised Council. Her influence helped regenerate the possibilities available to generations of women in journalism. For a few decades there, unless a person had been interviewed by Barbara, they just weren’t really famous.
Yet Walters’ Shadow Ego’s hunger for revelation and sensational news could become Ruthless. Some of her celebrated interviews relied upon intimate, cutting questions that now appear unnecessarily invasive—particularly her interrogation of Monica Lewinsky, who was subjected to worldwide Slander and humiliation while the far more powerful man involved largely survived intact. Walters’ relentless ambition also placed strain upon her private relationships and family life. Her Shadow Ego reminds us that Intelligence without sufficient tenderness can treat another person’s pain as material, and that “getting the story” does not automatically make the questioning fair.
Jimmy Carter lived Harmonizing Gaia perhaps more than any of our other Exemplars, as he understood public leadership as a form of stewardship. I believe him to be the last “real” American president, btw. As POTUS, he brokered the Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel and placed human rights more firmly within American foreign-policy language. That photo of him on the Exemplars poster was of his 100th birthday, and he passed on a few months later. Chapeau!
After leaving office, he founded the Carter Center, transforming personal defeat into an extraordinary cycle of Regeneration. Its work in election monitoring, conflict mediation and disease eradication—especially the near elimination of Guinea worm disease—made Carter an elder within the planetary Council. His continued labour with Habitat for Humanity demonstrated that the Web of Life is strengthened not merely by Counsel, but by hands willing to build homes beside those they serve.
He was also the very first American president to visit Hiroshima, albeit after his stint as POTUS, but it was important enough for him to come here (where I live, in case you didn’t know that) and say, “The lessons of Hiroshima must never be forgotten”. Incidentally, the first (and only, so far) sitting POTUS to visit Hiroshima was the next “best” president, Obama. But things were far too corrupt by the time he came along to have any actual positive influence. He was a puppet largely. Heavy sigh.
Carter’s Shadow Ego lay partly in the dissonance between his ideals and the machinery he governed, as the corruption was already thick and heavy in his time. His commitment to human rights did not prevent his administration from maintaining relationships with authoritarian allies or making geopolitical compromises that exposed vulnerable populations to harm. At home, inflation, energy shortages and the Iran hostage crisis produced a sense of national Disruptiveness that his thoughtful, introspective style could not contain. His moral certainty could also become unyielding, reminding us that even an honourable leader may become Ignorant of how righteous intentions are experienced by people living beneath the consequences of policy.
Paul Hawken as Harmonizing Gaia has devoted his life to teaching that the climate crisis is not simply an environmental problem but a crisis of relationship. He wants humanity to Harmonize with Gaia.
Through ecological businesses, influential books and his founding of Project Drawdown and Project Regeneration, he has gathered researchers and practical solutions into a vast planetary Council. Rather than portraying humanity only as the destroyer of the Sacred Garden, Hawken invites us to become its conscious regenerators.
His work maps the Web of Life through food, forests, energy, oceans, cities, Indigenous stewardship and social justice, creating a living framework through which Intelligence can become collective action. Hawken aligns particularly well with today’s Codes of Claiming Justice, Finding Fairness, Stewardship, Regenerating and the Web of Life: the financial burden of repairing Gaia should fall primarily upon those who profited from damaging her—not upon the people and ecosystems forced to endure the consequences. Polluter pays!
Hints of Shadow Ego at work can be seen in ecological companies associated with his early career passed through financial struggles, changing ownership and corporate structures that did not always preserve their original spirit. (They were infiltrated and corrupted.) More broadly, the enormous scale and optimistic language of Drawdown can be misunderstood as though climate collapse might be solved through a tidy catalogue of solutions while political power, consumption and corporate Ruthlessness remain untouched. Hawken’s Shadow Ego lesson is that visionary Imagination must continually interrogate its own assumptions, lest hopeful frameworks encourage Acquiescence by making planetary transformation appear easier than it is.
Kim Basinger as Harmonizing Gaia has used her fame to advocate for beings who cannot enter a human courtroom or speak before a political Council. Her animal-rights work began in childhood and has included campaigns against laboratory testing, the dog-meat trade and other forms of institutionalized cruelty. She has personally participated in efforts to rescue animals destined for experimentation and has repeatedly called upon other public figures to use their voices. Her activism embodies Gaia’s Web of Life by insisting that Stewardship and Justice must extend beyond the human species.
Basinger’s Shadow Ego has appeared through impulsive decisions and prolonged conflict. After withdrawing from Boxing Helena, she lost an initial multimillion-dollar judgment, filed for bankruptcy and eventually reached a smaller settlement. Her expensive purchase of much of Braselton, Georgia, intended as an imaginative cultural development, became financially disastrous and contributed to family estrangement. Her divorce from Alec Baldwin developed into a bitter, years-long custody battle marked by mutual accusation and public Slander. These experiences reveal how Imagination can become financially Ignorant, how protection can harden into Ruthlessness, and how private pain can erupt Volcanically through families, courts and the media.
Now here’s their Guides:
Transcending Offering is an extraordinary teacher and foundation builder in the Past Wisdom Guide position. All K’ een with Tone 8 as their Core Self have Tone 13 here, naturally, and all Gaians have Offering here of course, but together this combination holds cosmic consciousness along with the sacred karmic gift.
Initiating Dusk has a bit of a dual energy as a Divine Feminine Guide, with the micro-Big Bang power and force of creation of the First Nagual combined with the cool, drapes drawn open for noctural lucid dreaming of Dusk. The sanctuary comes thru here, but a birthing and creating one.
As for the DMG, Pairing Monkey can be a trickster on the dualistic stage, and I can tell you right now that this is where Kim has all her Shadow Ego problems entangled. The Monkey is demonstrative, and emotional, and Tone 2 spun darkly will battle anyone, especially a “loved one” as long as it possibly can.
And this is what I need to tell you now, dear Soul: Anyone can have their Shadow Ego manifest itself thru any or ALL of the Guide positions too. What I have found in my hundreds of clients cases is that the Past Wisdom Guide holds a dark and present Shadow Ego for everyone, and depending on their other situations in life, the other positions can, and do.
If, for example, a person has intimacy issues (and it’s NOT the Past) then it’s the Divine Feminine that controls that area. If they have money issues, their Divine Masculine Shadow Ego is blocking them from manifesting. If they can’t move forward gracefully, it is likely to be the Shadow Ego issues of the Future Vision Guide that they are using to halt their progress.
And as for the Future Vision Guide of today, Activating Serpent can indeed be tricky. It requires that a person shed their skin and be grounded in service to others, especially thru providing nourishment from a feminine position, literally in the kitchen!
As for you and me today, Harmonizing Gaia teaches that peace is not passive. Tranquility must be woven through courageous conversations, fair agreements, intelligent stewardship and the daily Ritual of repairing what has been damaged. We cannot regenerate the Sacred Garden while remaining ignorant of the suffering concealed beneath its leaves.
Today, take your place at the table of the Council of Life with humility, sitting in the Sacred Garden. Listen to the stones, the roots, the birds, the elders, the children and the wounded places within yourself. Every one of those eight strands matters.
With Unconditional Love and Universal Truth,
crispy
